What People Say About Sherlocked Escape Rooms in Amsterdam

We are still talking about The Vault a month after our trip to Amsterdam. Of all the things we did on our family holiday there, this was by far the highlight. The experience is so immersive and you really feel a part of the story. Only wish we could do more escape rooms like this. Our group was our family of four, kids 13 and 10, and it was totally appropriate - it’s even more fun if you really get into the storytelling. Don’t want to say more for fear of spoiling it, but highly recommend!!

Fab fab fab! I suggested this to my husband to do for his birthday as he had previously been to an escape room on his stag. It was fantastic! Very well thought out and you can really immerse yourself in the whole experience. The staff are approachable and very believable in the story the lay out too. It really gets you thinking and was a great way to spend an hour working as a team with my hubby- got to keep his brain ticking over now he's the ripe old age of 32! Would definitely recommend a visit!

What a great experience! First of all, the escape room is beautiful and has a lot of details. The game is an amazing experience. You have to collaborate as a team. While making progress, the game will amaze the players more and more. The difficulty is quite good. The game requires more instinct and 'thinking different', then general knowledge. When you're stuck in the game, a telephone is available to get hints. This means that you can get the full experience of the game, which is great. The staff is awesome! The game is available in Dutch and English, which is perfect. I'd definitely recommend this game to everyone!

Great fun to be had at sherlocked! It was our first escape/mystery room and we really enjoyed it. Definitely tests the mind. However, I would recommend that you go as a group (there was just two of us) it seemed like there should be more people to get through it easier. Staff were friendly and informative and rang to give us hints when needed. Would recommend a visit!

We had a phenomenal experience at The Alchemist. Production values were high and puzzles were really well designed. Perfect for a party of 6.

I booked this as a surprise for my wife who enjoys puzzles and mysteries. The TripAdvisor reviews were very positive so I had high expectations which I'm pleased to say were comfortably met. Our host was very friendly and set the scene well for our chosen mystery, the Architect. The difficulty level was about right - we successfully solved most of the challenges, with a couple of helpful nudges from our host, though stumbled close to the end. The setting and attention to detail was excellent and really created a believable atmosphere. While more participants might have helped us solve it faster, it should be well within the capabilities of a couple who pay attention to everything being said and -- most important -- remember to communicate everything, especially if separated! Highly recommended!

The building and setup of the escape room are excellent - great venue. We were a little late for the room and staff were very accommodating. We are fairly experienced with escape rooms having completed more than 10 if them around Europe so had a good idea of what to expect. However we got very obviously stuck twice and felt it took too long to get a hint from the moderator which left us feeling quite frustrated. We felt the price was a bit excessive. We thought the main room itself was too big and the game would have worked better in a smaller space. Having said that, the props and feel of the space are excellent and there are some very original and lateral thinking puzzles.

We could not recommend ‘The Vault’ experience any more highly. From the initial intrigue and excitement leading up to the ‘mission’, to the moment the experience begins, there is an unparalleled sense of immersion. Through a series of puzzles, challenges and role-playing we were captivated and brought into another world. Sherlocked has spared no attentional to detail and the calibre of acting, venue and production all come together to solidify this as one of the best experiences out there - not to be missed!

I did the Alchemist escape room. One of the best, most immersive escape rooms I have ever done. Difficulty wise, it was on the easier side, but the atmosphere and effects of the room more than made up for it. Our hostess was very professional and played along. She dropped us in the room with minimal explanation, which honestly I am a fan of. Very immersive! Also, Mary's wild way

The Architect was a fun and immersive room. There were quite a few fun elements to this room but quite a lot were solvable pretty fast for the experienced players. We completed the room in about 30 minutes which is half the time for the entire game. The clues were given in a unique way however I felt we could have done without them. (Given that we were ahead of time) they seemed to not let you get through them enough or struggle enough before they would call you. This was what let the room down for us. The story was a little loose too given there's some great rooms in Amsterdam with better theme's and immersion. I would reccommend the room for sure, it's fun and quirky. I think a few minor tweaks and you'd be at 5* also in my opinion.
