What is a city game?
A city game is a mix between a tour, a scavenger hunt, and an escape room. You solve puzzles and mysteries using clues hidden in the city's landmarks. It's super entertaining and a fun way to get to know Amsterdam in a new way.
How do city games work?
Atlantis Protocol: Bring a fully charged phone with WhatsApp installed and internet access. You’ll receive a printed map to help you navigate the city. As you explore, a mysterious figure will guide you remotely. Just follow the clues and explore Amsterdam step by step.
For Operation 45 and Secret Sender: You’ll be provided with a backpack full of tools, maps, and puzzles. Your goal is to explore the city, unlock clues, and solve the mystery with your team. No extra tools or skills required.
Who can play city games?
City games are perfect for friends, families, and corporate groups. Even diehard Amsterdammers will discover their city in a new way. Teams typically consist of 2-5 players, but larger groups can split into multiple teams.
Do I need special knowledge or skills to play a city game?
No! The games are designed for all skill levels. If you can read and explore, you can play our city games.
What if we need help?
Atlantis Protocol: You can get help via WhatsApp as part of the game.
Secret Sender & Operation 45: There’s a built-in hint system, and a Game Master is always on hand to assist if you’re stuck.
Are city games suitable for kids?
Yes, children can participate in our city games accompanied by their parents. The game is educational and fun, with history woven into the puzzles. The minimum age for Atlantis Protocol is 12 years old. For Operation 45 and Secret Sender, the minimum age is 9.
What happens if the weather is bad when playing a city game?
City games go on rain or shine. But if the weather is extreme, you can reschedule.

Most city games take around 2 hours, but faster teams might finish in 90 minutes.
