Best escape room ever!

A must do!!!! My husband found this online and it sounded interesting. We thought we would give it a try. Great experience, tons of fun and we want to do it again. I'm not going to give anything away but will say the staff is wonderful. The puzzles are challenging and the story like awesome!!!! Do this on your next trip. You need to have at least two people to do some of the puzzles, and a minimum of four people for others. We had a great time with two people but can see how a group would be even better and lots of fun too!

The Alchemist was a masterpiece. Every corner of the room is steeped in imagination, creativity, and excellent game design. The attention to detail is nothing short of sorcery. As an escape room enthusiast, this one stands out. It is not scary at all (briefly the room is dark, but not scary) which can be uncommon in top-tier experiences - other non-scary rooms generally throw in a jump scare or induce anxiety at a minimum. The setting is bathed in a mood of gentle fantasy with mystical artifacts waiting to be awakened and their magic released. Lovers of puzzles, games, fantasy, wonder, and awe this masterpiece is for us.

I've done already 6 escape games in different cities. By far this was the greatest one. The atmosphere, the location, the riddles itself, the effects, the surprises....ARE JUST THE BEST EVER. Unfortunately due to problem (laptop sound was on mute and unable to activate) we were stuck for at least 15 minutes until the gamemaster came in to help us out. If you're in Amsterdam, go for it! It's worth the money!

Definitely would not recommend this place. I've heard that customer service for this room sucks, but I could not imagine how bad it really is. When we've just arrived we noticed that we should call or text some guy who opens the door. After having a few calls and messages unanswered, the guy appeared in hurry to let us in. It was 20 minutes wasted in the cold. During the game my teammate got in emergency situation with his health, we tried to signal the operator but it was useless. He was unreachable. Horrible! Once the time passed we were told - that's all and we should quit. Nevertheless that we asked for final solution (having passed 95% of the quest) - they declined to give us neither time nor solution and asked for payment for the next session (start over). Me and my team are doing quests and escape rooms over the world and it's the first time that we are having such a terrible service. Demanded payment for 2nd hour of the quest, declined to help in emergency situation, made us wait in the cold outside for 20 minutes... The worst experience ever.

The puzzles are just right – not too hard, not too easy. They're creative and diverse, so everyone in the team can get involved. Teamwork is key, and each puzzle contributes to the bigger picture. The creators really went all out to make sure you have a memorable experience. The atmosphere, sound effects, and visuals all work together to make you feel like you're in a different world. It's not just about getting out of a room; it's about going on a magical adventure.

Alchemist has got to be one of the best escape rooms in the world

A friend of ours invited us there in January, without giving us any hint about what we were about to do. And then what a nice surprise! We quickly let ourselves being snapped into the mysterious, somehow obscure world of Berlage... One hour of great fun!

Starting with a mysterious briefcase, and a walkie talkie, you are taken on an amazing break in, needing brains and nimbleness to defeat the puzzles, open the safe, and then have some fast thinking at the end. We did The Vault, with a group of 4, and won it! It was amazing, perfect location, great scenes, great rooms and puzzles! Would highly recommend to anybody!

This was a really good experience. I have always loved to solve riddles and to be able to experience them in real life, together with a few friends, definitely made the experience a special one. It was exciting, entertaining, difficult (though not too difficult) and we had a lot of fun.
