Bachelor & Bachelorette Party in Amsterdam: Break Into a Real Vault

A stag or hen do should have one story everybody tells for years. Put the group inside a century-old bank vault, a magical alchemist's lab or the lost office beneath the Beurs van Berlage and let them fight a clock together.

Sherlocked hosts groups of 2 to 19 players in up to four escape rooms that start at the same time, right between Central Station and Dam Square. Bigger party? Parlay and Time Crimes take 12 to 75 players.

The Architect is great for teams of two!
This was the first time that my girlfriend and I tried an escape room and even with just a team of two it was great fun. I think that it was quite well-pitched. The puzzles were challenging, but not so difficult that you left feeling stupid. The staff know just when to redirect you if they see that you are stuck for a while. We were not successful in the end, but the staff were very friendly and made us feel positive and like we had done well. Lots of fun, and highly recommended.

My partner and I played "The Architect" after Sherlocked was recommended to us on our Amsterdam trip. Man, this escape room was mindblowing. We have played our fair share of ESCrooms, but this one topped most of them. Great riddles, everything made sense and wasn't too easy, but still solvable. Our game master was very helpful as well. We will definitely return to play "The Vault"!!

I went here for a date night with my wife. We took the architect room. The reception was quick. The lady explained things to us quickly and led us to the main room. The puzzles were really good and engaging. One of the best experiences i had. Would definitely come back for the Vault.

Pick a room for the group

The Vault is the obvious heist for a stag or hen party (4 to 7 players). The Alchemist is the showstopper. The Architect is the classic. Groups of 8 to 19 book two or three rooms at the same time.

Planning tips for the organiser

Book early: Saturday afternoons and evenings fill up weeks ahead, especially in spring and summer.

Sober players only. Save the drinks for after the game; the rooms are 100 years old and hosts will refuse tipsy players.

Keep the surprise: tell the group a time and a corner of Dam Square, nothing more.

Add a city game: Atlantis Protocol takes the party outdoors, 2 to 10 players per team.

20 to 75 players? Parlay or Time Crimes put the whole group in one room.

Groups of 20 or more: email groups@sherlocked.nl.
