Walkie talkies gave us an unfortunate experience. Tip for the last door: It is a sliding door …

Wish we'd had Watson

We were 2 adults and a teenager for the Architect. The ideal is 4 or 5 people. We had a great time and the puzzles were very ingenious. The setting is extraordinary and the back story is well thought through. We've done two others in London and this was the best to date. We got close, but timed out. Another head would have been helpful (you will see why). You won't be disappointed!

Best escape room I've ever had the pleasure of trying to solve. The care that has been put into the inner workings of the room, furniture and items is so incredible. Highly recommend!

Excellent!

I’ve been to quite a few escape rooms and Sherlocked is a must. The set design and story was great and a few of the puzzles were quite inventive.

Great fun for all the family

Family of four, (two teenage girls) played this game and although we were totally useless and needed lots of help, we had a great time.

To My Esteemed Fellow in the Society of the Crossed Keys, If you have not yet embarked upon the ritual known as “The Alchemist,” I urge you to prioritize this endeavor at the earliest opportunity. Sherlocked has crafted an experience that stands unparalleled among the many tests and trials I have undertaken. It is not merely an “escape room” but an immersive journey into the heart of alchemical lore—a true masterwork of ingenuity, storytelling, and craftsmanship. The rituals of Ascension themselves are artfully designed, not overly complex, but seamlessly woven into the fabric of the mysteries that we all encounter in our daily lives, consistent with the deeper learnings revealed to those of us who have been initiated in our Society (“booked” the “escape room”). Each element you encounter serves a purpose, enriching the journey of ascension and unlocking layers of the mysterious past of our Society. The attention to detail is astounding; nothing feels arbitrary, and everything feels alive with meaning. Unlike the hurried improvisations one might encounter in a less refined gathering, the presentation of “The Alchemist” is meticulous. Imagine, if you will, the most elaborate LARP you’ve attended, but with years of refinement and a budget worthy of the most dedicated alchemical patron. The set pieces, the mechanisms, the sounds—all are crafted to draw you deeply into the world of the ritual. Even those elements that posed a real physical challenge carried an air of controlled danger, a necessary tension befitting the stakes of our mission. What impressed me most were the moments of revelation, those instances where the veil was lifted, and the true genius of the creators became evident. More than once, I found myself shouting aloud in triumph or gasping at the elegance of a solution. This is no ordinary test of wits; it is a celebration of the alchemical spirit, a challenge to both mind and heart. And an important one — if our Society is to succeed at its goals, to safeguard our future and the wellbeing of life on this precious planet, we must needs complete this ritual, and you may be vital to the cause. If you are a true seeker of wisdom and adventure, do not hesitate to take your place within “The Alchemist.” Gather your most trusted companions and prepare yourselves for a journey like no other. I trust we shall meet again, perhaps at a future convocation of the Society, to exchange tales of the challenges faced and overcome. Yours in the pursuit of the Great Work, Doctor Wylder P.S. Those who successfully complete the ritual may find themselves longing for a sequel. I, for one, will eagerly await the Society’s next summons. Until then, may your path be illuminated by the light of the Philosopher’s Stone.

Fantastic game - host could be friendlier

Let me start by saying that Sherlocked is definitely one of the top escape rooms in the Netherlands. The room is well made and the location is fantastic. Not only it's right in the middle of the city center but also because the building itself lends to the story at hand. But even more importantly than that, the game play is exceptional. First time player would have an experience of a lifetime while escape room enthusiasts would appreciate the ingenuity. It's not a static room where one puzzle would simply lead to another. There are mechanics involved and their effects are quite a delight and there are many puzzle designs that are outside the box. You'd be pleasantly surprised quite often. So yes, do play this room. Highly recommended. Having said that, the room does have some holes in its choice of storyline. There is not much progression of the narrative during the game which is somehow salvaged by the explanation at the end but still it could have been better integrated to the design. The atmosphere is a bit lacking with the absence of sound and light play but this might actually be preferable for players who are not too keen on feeling too nervous during the game. The puzzles are challenging and success rate is only around 30%. They are not impossible but it might be frustrating for people who are not used to solving riddles and figuring out codes. Some clues unfortunately was made rather unnecessarily difficult as it is hard to even see or hear it clearly. Our team did manage to make it out (with 10 minutes to spare and without any hints given by the game master) but we were told that this was not usually the case and we couldn't help thinking that simply making some clues easier to read and others clearer to hear would help players a great deal. Last but not least, the host/game master could have been a tad friendlier. He never tried to learn our names and did not seem to be interested in finding out where we are from. We assumed this was because he opted to stay in role at all time which was commendable but role playing should not be in the expense of hospitality. When I played escape rooms at other establishments (either in the Netherlands or in other countries), the hosts were interested in finding out how you experienced the room and were eager to connect to you as fellow escape rooms enthusiasts. Neither I nor my team mates felt that connection here. Still, do try the game. It's that good to overlook these inconveniences. If the organizers are able to improve on these other aspects, though, I have no doubt it could be one of the best escape rooms not only in the Netherlands but the world.
