It was challenging, fun and extremely smart. It felt like a real victory to be able to finish it. The staff is amazing! Great actors, great improvisation. I really enjoyed having tasks we were not expecting. It was surprising from beginning to end.

This is a highly entertaining and challenging experience. We had a ton of fun and were absolutely enchanted by the adventure. We did the Architect and it was mind blowing. I definitely want to try their other experience!

Very cool and surprising escape room.

By far the best escape room we have ever done! The set up was amazing starting in one location and then moving on to another with use of props that made you feel like you are in a real life situation. I can’t say too much as you need to experience it for yourself but if you don’t do this whilst in Amsterdam you have really missed out! Honestly the setup with the messages to your phone earlier in the day through to beating the timer, it was all amazing!!! Please go, it is so worth it!!

I’m not an escape room person, so when it was suggested as an activity I resisted, but the Alchemist changed my mind. Fun, clever, mysterious, magical, and most important to me, a wonderful way to bond with family and friends. The set is stunning, the ritual seamless, and the storytelling so well crafted. And if you’re a person who looks for transformation, this journey plays out on subtle and unexpectedly wonderful levels of mind, body and spirit. Appreciation and kudos to the creators, clearly this is an undertaking of next level passion and detail far far beyond expectations. I cannot recommend enough to visitors and locals alike.

If you're ever in Amsterdam you have to make sure to visit the vault room. The actor is very charismatic and plays his role in the game perfectly. The riddles are very close to the story so you'll always feel like there is a purpose behind them. Playing this game in the original walls of the stock market building was a experience in itself. It was super fun and challenging but with a little escape room experience its doable! But try not to rush through it because you should really enjoy the whole thing. :)

We enjoyed the Vault which is essentially a reverse escape room as our task was to capture some jewels. This was our first experience of this kind of thing so took a little getting used to. We didn't manage to finish but did well, after a slow start. Our teenage kids were better than we were but no surprise there. Reasonably priced. Lasts about 90 minutes.

I have played both The Architect and the Vault. Both were OUTSTANDING. Every detail has been thought of. I cannot express enough how much fun we had playing the games. The Architect is a must for anyone who wishes to try a timeless-classical escape room format. The Vault is totally next level, absolute immersion, so good. Be prepared to role-play your little heart out. Thank you to the team at Sherlock for their dedication at making such a detail, engaging, caring game.

This is one of the better escape rooms in Amsterdam. The locks are in good shape and so are the other hints/objects.
