What People Say About Sherlocked Escape Rooms in Amsterdam

I'm a fan of the escape rooms and I already did 6 of them.... This was the best by far! I did "the architect" with 4 other friends and it was super funny! Everything was really really good: the story, the setting, the atmosphere, the design and the puzzles. I loved the details of the rooms and the variation of the puzzles. It is advised for group of at least 4 person.

We did this escape room as a company event and had a great time. Sherlocked offered 2 escape rooms, of which one with a historical theme connected with the old stock exchange building in which it is located. The escape rooms are in the art deco basement of the building and integrate many old details of the building beautifully. I found the level of engagement and competence of the staff vary considerably between the two escape rooms but that did not affect the escape room experience as such. Both rooms are good challenges and difficult to solve. We had an excellent time.

We did both rooms here within two weeks. The “Architect” deserves 5 stars as it was well done, logical and a great experience. We would definitely recommend this room!! With high hopes we also booked the “Vault”, which unfortunately was not great and very disappointing. It starts cool but as soon as you’re inside it’s not great. Pros: - great design and rooms Cons: - communicating with host only on walkie talkie and we couldn’t understand a word. If you’re not a native english speaker (and neither am I), you need to speak slowly and clearly. We had a male host at the “Architect”, who was great, the girl this time was awful - the hints we received were terrible and didn’t help but rather confused us - some elements (“the guard”) wasted so much time (seriously, 5 mins wasted!!!) and that shouldn’t happen - some puzzles were for one person, some for 4. this didn’t make sense - some puzzles are not logical at all (i have done over 30 escape rooms world wide) and are frustrating We felt overall very frustrated with the “Vault” as it’s obvious that there’s some good ideas but also some things that are not thought through. Huge time-wasting moments that couldn’t be skipped. We felt cheated of a good 10 mins of our time due to some lengthy parts (guard,sphinx speech). We felt like we could have solved it with a better host. We really wanted to love this room and with better hints and streamlining some of the puzzles it would be great but as it stands. I would not recommend this room. Do the “Architect” and you’ll be happy, great theme and very well done!

I've been to quite a lot different escape rooms but this one simply blew my mind. They have got the most interesting riddles and braintwisters. Nice to do with friends or colleagues, would certainly recommend this one.

Best escape room I’ve ever been to (The Vault) by FAR!!!! Room was huge, puzzles were awesome and creative. Samuel and Andra were awesome operators. We already booked another escape room (The Alchemist) in 2 days :)

First time experience here. Cool building, really nice people and the room has great atmosphere to it. Did it with 2 people, it was stil quite challenging. Strongly recommend.

Woowww, when I was thinking that I may have been in many escape rooms and it'd be hard to keep getting excited, hwre comes the Alchemist and I can see how wrong I can be on judging the future :D Amazing! Highly recommendable!!

We were 2 adults and a teenager for the Architect. The ideal is 4 or 5 people. We had a great time and the puzzles were very ingenious. The setting is extraordinary and the back story is well thought through. We've done two others in London and this was the best to date. We got close, but timed out. Another head would have been helpful (you will see why). You won't be disappointed!
