What People Say About Sherlocked Escape Rooms in Amsterdam

The building and setup of the escape room are excellent - great venue. We were a little late for the room and staff were very accommodating. We are fairly experienced with escape rooms having completed more than 10 if them around Europe so had a good idea of what to expect. However we got very obviously stuck twice and felt it took too long to get a hint from the moderator which left us feeling quite frustrated. We felt the price was a bit excessive. We thought the main room itself was too big and the game would have worked better in a smaller space. Having said that, the props and feel of the space are excellent and there are some very original and lateral thinking puzzles.

Yesterday night we were locked inside a beautiful 19th century room. With artifacts, clues, riddles etc. We had a bit over an hour to get out and it was an unforgettable hour! (I went to bed with images of the quest we have forfilled, and woke up with my head trying to get round the last clues!) We needed the different skills the people of our group had, to find our way out. I can recommend this magnificent hour for any kind of group. Colleagues, friends, family!

Five of us took part in the Sherlocked game and we had a fantastic time. Without giving away any of the surprises it kept us all on our toes and we were so close to completing the challenge! We especially liked many of the elements around the actual room game. For example, we had to meet at a different location to collect our 'mission' and break into the room. The interaction with the staff really added to the experience. I have never played a game on this scale and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The one note of caution I would give people is that some of the tasks are quite physical so don't be surprised if at least one of you has to crawl about! A great way to spend an hour and a half and I would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam

We did the Alchemist room and it was one of the best escape rooms I've ever done. Incredibly immersive and the puzzles were super interactive.

The building itself, the clearness of the concept, the beautiful details. This was an experience to remember. Our team of 6 worked our way out of the room in 38 minutes. Communication, a curious mind and a logical thinking spirit will make your mind go crazy about Sherlocked Amsterdam. An absolute must do for people that like to be surprised as well as people that forgot how wonderful it is to create a curious mind. Thanks Sherlocked Amsterdam for inviting team Buro Curious!! After reading all the exellent reviews for sherlocked, we were really exited to try it out. But, we were laughing with dissapointment when we left. It turned out to be more of a role play, than an Escape room. The first half hour we cracked one code, the rest was facilitated. We got so frustrated by the lack of flow and useless communication with our game master, that we lost all interest in the game. When the time ran out, we were more than ready to leave. The game master couldn't (or wouldn't) understand this and wanted to continue. His behaviour at the end, was really bad. No need to behave like that!

Highly recommended! — With barely any experience of escape rooms (I'd been to only one prior), I curiously and confidently stepped inside Sherlocked's "The Alchemist" close to midnight for a late night session. I was blown away by the production value, puzzles and involvement that went into building it. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but I definitely experienced a sense of wonder and delight as I worked with my team (my girlfriend and three other strangers) to figure out every piece of this puzzle. If you have a few hours in Amsterdam, consider booking a session. Additional bonus was the great location—an easy to find & beautiful old stocks building in the heart of the city.

After playing many escape games and even building a couple of them the Alchemist completely blew me away. What a beautifully designed room, really cool puzzles and an awesome climax. I can do nothing but recommend this game to everyone!

We did this challenge as a family of five with three teenagers. It was a great thing to do as a family and a great buzz to win the challenge. Lots of innovative clues and special effects. We would highly recommend this experience to families.

Didnt really know what to expect and wow!The Architect is a beautiful escape room with fun puzzles, creative details and its challenging all your senses. Would definitely recommend experiencing this room
