What People Say About Sherlocked Escape Rooms in Amsterdam

Went to Sherlocked earlier today with three friends of mine and completed The Architect escape room. None of us had attempted escape rooms before but found it to be a brilliant and fun experience. The staff member who explained it to us was super nice and helpful and the actual experience itself was lots of fun, it was a perfect difficulty level and is something I will definitely do more of in the future.

As with other reviewers, this was our first time in an escape room and we weren't sure what to expect. We received a very warm welcome in this beautiful, historic building and after being asked to leave our mobile phones and bags securely at reception, we were given some background information and led into the room. We took part as a family of four, with two teenagers. It was a good combination of easy and difficult clues/challenges and we all enjoyed it, especially the way it made us work together. At times we got a bit stuck but were given some further direction from the host if we were clearly not getting anywhere. All-in-all, this was great fun and I would definitely recommend it.

played the alchemist with 4 people. Technically very impressive and fun, even though we didn't do too well. The host however made us feel like she wanted to get this over with as quickly as possible

I have done both the rooms at Sherlocked. The architect was very good and very enjoyable. The game was well designed with a nice mix of puzzles. For this room I would say 5 stars for sure. For the vault I was very disappointed. The room is trying to be different so I can appreciate the designers took a risk but it just didn't work. There also seemed to be a few red herrings that caused confusion more than anything else. Of all the rooms I've done (over 10) this was the least enjoyable room. In conclusion my advice is 100% to do the architect but I would not recommend the vault.

The best escape room I have ever done. We did “The Vault”, which is not your traditional escape room. Rather than trying to escape, you are trying to break in. Unlike most escape rooms, this one is interactive with the uses of walkie talkies and other other items. Other than that, I can’t say anything else or it will ruin the experience. Although we didn’t “win”, we will be back to finish were we left off. This is a must do and is worth every penny.

After playing The Vault we felt it is somehow incomplete. On the one hand the space is impressive and the start of the game is very cool. On the other, the puzzles and internal logic of the game don't really make too much sense. Lots of hints are necessary and the how they are delivered is not always clear. It could have been done much better.

What a treat! This was my first time trying an escape room, and I started off with one of the best. It felt like I was in a movie with the storyline, sounds and special effects. I was glad to be with a group of seasoned escape room players, as some of the puzzles were quite challenging.

The Alchemist was my first ever escape game, and it’s putting the level very high. I had so much fun that I totally lost track of time. I loved every inches of the experience: the storyline, the marvelous set design, all of the challenges were super playful and intriguing with a sparkle of magic wonder. For the fans of Harry Potter, you shall go!
