What People Say About Sherlocked Escape Rooms in Amsterdam

Do check the message they send you before your experience starts as we didn't know and part of the experience was to talk your way in into the building, which the host could only laugh about coz we rang the bell not knowing that we received a message with start instructions

We were lucky enough to carry out both The Vault and The Architect during our recent visit to Amsterdam. The Vault is quite simply the best escape room I have ever had the joy of taking part in. From start to finish, it was so immersive that even at the end I wasn't sure it was actually over! The venue is simply breathtaking, the design and puzzles are like a film production and the games masters are fantastic. The Architect was also an amazing experience which was very well designed and produced. The puzzles were great and there was lots of twists and turns that encouraged teamwork and communication. If you are in Amsterdam, you need to visit Sherlocked. It really doesn't matter if you are a well-seasoned escapee or new to the experience. It is mind blowing what they have created here and needs to be experienced to be believed.

A must go in Amsterdam.

We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children, a 7 year old and a 3 year old. Obviously the 3 year old was too young and we entertained him with a game on a phone for most of the time, though he was interested and came to check in with what we were doing every now and then. But our 7 year old loved it. With the help of the adults was easily able to understand the challenges and solved several of the puzzles herself. Lots of wow moments, lots of laughs and overall a great experience for the adults and kids in our group. For reference we did the Architect room.

Had lots of fun in this escape room. It was my first time experiencing something like this, but I would definitely recommend this to others visiting Amsterdam. At a certain point I wasn't sure if I was still in the game or that I was back in real life. This made the experience very cool for me.

Among exclusively exuberant enthusiasm I found one thing that I didn't like about this escape room experience, or about any of the Sherlocked escape rooms: it will be hard to find an escape room that will match this experience. This escape room doubled for me as an art installation, neo-classical architecture visit, craftsmanship-rate "tricks" and movie-like-immersive-experience. People should get married in this room. I just have to say, it wouldn't misstand in an architecture or design magazine. The steam-punk neo-classical vibe merges very neatly with some futurist touches. It brings the theme of mysticism from the past to the future. The games, puzzles, challenges are wonderfully integrated in the decor. And are amazing (dynamic) art pieces in themselves! They were not too easy and luckily (for me) also not too difficult. We were with a group of 5, and everybody was fully occupied continuously, we could really well split up between the different challenges. I like that, it makes me feel I can play again, engaging the elements that were left for others this time over. Recommend 100%. The amazed face with hands in front of her mouth of one of my companions is still imprinted on my retina.

We had a great time trying to solve the riddles and break into the Vault. We did not quite make it within the alloted time, but that did not make it any less fun. The setting is beautiful, the hosts are convincing in their roles, the special effects work really well and due to the time pressure, you get totally carried away. We were a team of six colleagues and we all enjoyed it. We will definitely recommend Sherlocked!

After reading all the exellent reviews for sherlocked, we were really exited to try it out. But, we were laughing with dissapointment when we left. It turned out to be more of a role play, than an Escape room. The first half hour we cracked one code, the rest was facilitated. We got so frustrated by the lack of flow and useless communication with our game master, that we lost all interest in the game. When the time ran out, we were more than ready to leave. The game master couldn't (or wouldn't) understand this and wanted to continue. His behaviour at the end, was really bad. No need to behave like that!

Surprising, intriguing. Not easy, a real challenge! Well organized. Not scary but exciting, definately. Nice to do with group of friends.

First time visiting an escaperoom. It exceeded expectations, we went as family and there was enough for everyone to discover. Cooperation needed to solve it. Theme worled out with the attributes very lovely. Real recommended!
