What People Say About Sherlocked Escape Rooms in Amsterdam

If I could give 6 stars, I would. A must-play escape room. Instead of the traditional "escape," The Vault involves breaking in! I have played about a dozen escape rooms all over the US & Europe and this one, without a doubt, is the most compelling and memorable I have ever encountered. Without ruining anything, the adventure's clever, unconventional beginning leading into some undexpected tasks turned our group of 5 friends into an ad-hoc "Ocean's Eleven" team by the end. Beautiful puzzles, incredible set and scenic design, extraordinarily talented and professional staff, and very smartly composed challenges and achievements made for an unforgettable 90 minutes. Run, don't walk!

We’ve done a few escape rooms together and absolutely loved Sherlocked! Our lovely host Alya set the scene for us perfectly, building a good atmosphere with the back story. The room was great fun and working together as a team and communicating well is very rewarding! The location and set-up of the room is excellent with a couple of nice twists. Thoroughly recommended and a great experience!

One of the best attractions we visited in Amsterdam. I was worried it may really easy but it's just the right level of challenging. Good story line too and friendly enthusiastic staff!

Went with a group of 4 adults and my 14 month old son. Very well put together and makes you work on your communication. Wish we were staying to see their new room in June. Will come back for sure.

We did "The Architect" and the game itself was fun and challenging, but we weren't warned that the game is slightly uncomfortable to play in a group of 3 people. The host wasn't paying us a lot of attention so when we got stumped we were stuck for a little while, but was otherwise very kind :)

I went with a group of 4 total to do The Vault and we all loved it. I was quite nervous about the experience after receiving the pre-break in information, but once the experience began it became so immersive immediately that all my nerves about it were translated into other emotions (excitement, adrenaline, nerve-wracking...). There has clearly been so much work put into and it is unlike any other escape room I have done. The staff members contribute well with their great acting and they really feel part of the scenario. The actual room is amazing, really well made (although I appreciate some of its charm is due to it being an actual original vault under the city) to seem authentic. It is challenging, with a good variety of challenges (problem-solving, organisation, communication, even physical!) which keeps the whole team involved. The staff do give hints but I think their level of involvement was appropriate. We didn’t manage to break in. My only bug bear was that this was partly due to part of the Vault being difficult to open, as it is part of the original structure, but I also understand this is important for the authenticity so I don’t really mind. Would 100% recommend as must-do in Amsterdam.

I went to Scherlocked with a group of friends this March and it was so much fun. We had a great 1 hours full of thrill and excitement. It would be a great place for team building events as well. If you love crime and investigation, this is the perfect place for you. And, the more of you, the more fun :)

We’re used to playing escape rooms with a total of 15-20 rooms played so far including several in Amsterdam. The location is really ideal, a few minutes away from the central station. The building is a genuine old dutch monument with an interesting past that’s at the heart of the architect room we played. Challenges and manipulations were diverse and interesting. The little present you get to keep at the end of the game is a real plus and it would be great to get the same thing in all rooms to get so kind of a collection for all succeeded rooms! Not the best in town in my opinion but still a good time!

I have played both The Architect and the Vault. Both were OUTSTANDING. Every detail has been thought of. I cannot express enough how much fun we had playing the games. The Architect is a must for anyone who wishes to try a timeless-classical escape room format. The Vault is totally next level, absolute immersion, so good. Be prepared to role-play your little heart out. Thank you to the team at Sherlock for their dedication at making such a detail, engaging, caring game.
